At the end of your tenancy, the deposit will be returned to you: subject to the terms of your contract, after a room inspection. Any deductions for damages or outstanding charges will be outlined in your tenancy agreement. Refunds can take up to 28 working days to process.</p> <p>4. Your deposit is securely held by a recognised scheme, such as the Tenancy Deposit Scheme (England and Wales) or Safe Deposits Scotland. You’ll receive an email with your deposit repayment ID, which you’ll need to authorise your refund and provide your bank details.</p> <p><strong>Please note:</strong></p> <p>1. All refunds are issued in GBP, and additional fees may apply if you're using a non-UK bank account.</p> <p>2. Prestige Student Living cannot influence the deposit refund process. If you have a <strong>UK guarantor</strong>, you're eligible to pay your rent in <strong>three </strong>instalments, with the first payment due <strong>three weeks</strong> before your check-in date.</p> <p>2. If you <strong>do not</strong> have a UK guarantor, you’ll need to pay your rent in <strong>full </strong>at least <strong>six weeks</strong> before your tenancy start date.</p> <p>Please ensure that all rent due has been paid before you arrive to check in.</p> <p><strong>Note</strong>: In some cases, alternative instalment plans may be available. Please contact property management to discuss your options.</p>

Please include your full name and student ID as the payment reference. <strong>Note </strong>that international transfers may incur additional charges from your bank, so please account for this when making payment.</p> <p>To request our bank details or confirm payment instructions, please contact your property team.</p> <p><strong>Please Note: </strong>Important Payment Information:</p> <p>1. You will never be asked to make a payment to any bank account other than the official one provided by your property team.</p> <p>2. Cash payments are not accepted under any circumstances.</p>
Guarantor Requirement

Additional Fees
<p><strong>Dual occupancy</strong> is available for most rooms that are <strong>23sqm</strong> or larger. Both applicants must apply separately and clearly state in their applications that they are requesting dual occupancy.</p> <p>The total rent will be calculated as the standard room rate plus an additional <strong>£50</strong> per week, then split evenly between both occupants, unless specified otherwise.</p>

If you are unable to obtain a UK visa and your tenancy has not yet started, you may be eligible to cancel your tenancy agreement without penalty and receive a full refund of your deposit, provided that:</p> <p>2. You send an email from the email address used for booking to your property’s email address (if already in residence),</p> <p>confirming that your visa application has been unsuccessful and that you wish to cancel your booking. Include your full name and property details.</p> <p>3. You attach the official visa refusal notice issued by UK Visas &amp; Immigration.</p> <p>4. These documents must be received within 3 calendar days of receiving your visa refusal notification and no later than 20th September for bookings for the upcoming academic year.</p> <p><strong>Note:</strong> If this documentation is not received within the timeframe or after your tenancy has started, you will remain liable for the rent until a suitable replacement tenant is found and the room is successfully re-let.</p> <p><strong>After the Tenancy Start Date</strong></p> <p>If you have not collected your keys:</p> <p>1. You will be held rent liable until a suitable replacement tenant is found and approved by the landlord.</p> <p>2. If your visa is revoked after moving in:</p> <p>a) You must notify the property team within 48 hours of receiving the official notice by emailing to your property email address.</p> <p>b) You will need to provide:</p> <p>The official revocation notice from UK Visas &amp; Immigration, and a letter from your university confirming your release from studies.</p> <p>Once verified, next steps regarding your tenancy will be communicated by the property team.</p> <p><strong>For 25-26 Jan Intake ( Short Term Lets):</strong></p> <p>No Visa No Pay will depend on property discretion.</p>
No Place No Pay
<p><strong>For First-Year Undergraduate and Postgraduate Applicants</strong></p> <p>If you are a prospective first-year undergraduate or postgraduate student and your offer of a place at your chosen university or higher education institution is withdrawn due to not meeting the required entry grades, you may be eligible for a full release from your tenancy agreement.</p> <p><strong>To qualify:</strong></p> <p>1. You must provide written confirmation from your university or UCAS (such as a rejection letter or a screenshot showing your UCAS status)</p> <p>2. This evidence must be submitted within <strong>3 calendar days</strong> of your results being published and no later than 28th August (whichever comes first)</p> <p>3. You must send your cancellation request from the email address used to <strong>your property’s email address i</strong>f already in residence</p> <p>4. If you're choosing to attend a different university due to exceeding your expected grades, you may also be eligible for cancellation. In this case, you must provide proof of acceptance at the new university via <strong>UCAS Adjustmen</strong>t.</p> <p>5. Once your documentation has been received and verified, your tenancy will be cancelled without penalty, and your deposit will be refunded in full <strong>within 30 days.</strong></p> <p><strong>For Second-Year and Returning Students</strong></p> <p>1. Once your booking is confirmed and the security deposit has been paid, your tenancy agreement becomes legally binding.</p> <p>2. You may cancel your booking within a 7-day cooling-off period from the date of booking. To do so:</p> <p>3. Email your cancellation request to your property’s email address (if already in residence). If cancelled within this period, your full deposit will be refunded</p> <p><strong>Please note: </strong>Deposit refunds may take several weeks, depending on the status of the deposit within the Tenancy Deposit Scheme.</p>
Replacement Tenant Accepted
<p>If your tenancy has already started and you have <strong>not</strong> collected your keys, you will remain liable for rent until a suitable replacement tenant is secured.</p> <p>If your visa is revoked after you have collected the keys, you must inform the property team within <strong>48 hours</strong> of receiving official notification, either by emailing property management or your property’s designated email address if you are already in residence.</p> <p>You must provide written or emailed confirmation of the visa revocation, including official documentation from <strong>UK Visas &amp; Immigration</strong> and a letter from your University confirming your release.</p> <p>In such cases, you will not be able to stay in the property; however, you will remain rent liable until a suitable replacement tenant is found or until the end of any applicable legal notice period under current legislation.</p>
